TK Program
The Pilibos Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program that is modified to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our youngest Scholars.
The TK environment provides numerous opportunities for social-emotional growth, language development and communication through dramatic play, small group instruction, and intentional teaching through hands-on activities. Our TK program uses a unique specialized curriculum based on the CA Preschool Foundation’s Standards and the Common Core Standards for California’s TK programs (CCCS) allowing our scholars to learn and grow in an academically challenging and enriching environment.
TK is a bridge between Preschool and Kindergarten. The social, emotional and academic skills children learn in our TK program help them to succeed in Kindergarten and become independent learners and confident leaders in their classrooms.
